With forty years of experience as a woodworker and metalworker, Mac Campshure built his first pneumatic clamp system in 2006 for his own shop. After sharing with colleagues eager for their own set, Airtight Clamps was established to solve an unmet need in the woodworking industry for safe and efficient pneumatic clamping systems.

Over a decade on and hundreds of clamps later, Mac still makes each system by hand to the specifications required by each customer's machine in Madison, Wisconsin.

In late 2019, after growing over the years through old-fashioned word of mouth recommendations, we launched our first full website. Long an underground phenomenon and cult favorite among the world’s leading woodworkers - we’re excited to bring our products to a greater audience, while maintaining the same superior quality in construction and design engineering that helped us establish our reputation.

Staying near to the business’ origins, Mac continues to operate his personal blog - Airtight’s original home on the Internet - and is active on several woodworking forums. A one-man show, he’ll likely be the person to happily answer your email and phone questions - and he’ll certainly be the one building your new set of Airtight clamps!
